Almost anyone!  We offer a variety of vehicles for all ages; however, there are restrictions, and the rider/driver must be able to properly fit and operate the vehicles’ controls.

Passengers must be able to sit down with their backs against the seat, hands firmly on the grab bar, and feet flat on the floorboard.

An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18 at all times.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, even those meeting the qualifications above, based on our discretion

Valid driver’s license and photo ID – suspended, revoked, or expired licenses are not accepted or allowed in the park.

Long pants, gloves, closed-toe shoes (boots are preferred), eye protection, and a long-sleeve shirt or sweatshirt.

Water, hydration pack, snacks, bandana, sunscreen, ChapStick

Rental vehicles do not come with storage compartments.  We recommend taking a small bag or backpack to store your essentials.  Valuables are to be carried with you or left in your personal vehicle.

Camping equipment (if necessary)

Helmets and goggles are provided, or you can use your own.

Please arrive 30 minutes early, if possible, so we can review the paperwork and safety precautions.

Each vehicle will have a rental agreement and/or waiver to sign by all participants.

There are more than 85,000 acres to explore, and a park map is provided with key destination points.

The desert can have various weather conditions, but it is normally warm and sunny with a slight breeze.  The starry nights are spectacular!

Yes!  Security deposits range from $500 - $3,500, depending on the vehicle. 

UTVs and trailers require a credit card. The card provided will be saved and will have a hold placed on it for the security deposit amount.  Once the rental vehicle is returned and inspected for possible damage or abuse, and no signs of damage or abuse are found, the hold will be immediately released.  If damage or abuse is found, then Ride N Drive Off-Road Rentals will keep the security deposit hold in place to allow a mechanic time to inspect and report all damages.

Security deposits in cash are accepted for ATVs and motorcycles only.  Once the rental vehicle is returned and inspected for possible damage or abuse, and no signs of damage or abuse are found, the cash security deposit will be immediately returned.  If damage or abuse is found, then Ride N Drive Off-Road Rentals will keep the cash security deposit to allow a mechanic time to inspect and report all damages.

We recommend booking in advance as our rental vehicles are in high demand.  

Full refunds are issued if your reservation is canceled at least 48hrs prior to the start time of your rental period or if Ride N Drive Off-Road Rentals needs to cancel your reservations for any unforeseen reason.

There are no refunds if your reservation is canceled within 48hrs of the start time of your rental period.  Additionally, if the rental period is reserved within 48hrs of the initial booking, there are no refunds.

Customers can cancel and reschedule their rental period for the next available date during the same calendar season.

All rental vehicles are staged out of our storefront, and you ride from our location straight into Ocotillo Wells SVRA.

We are located at 6001 CA-78, Borrego Springs, CA 92004, across from the airport.

Depending on the circumstances, deliveries can be made upon request but will cost extra.

All rental vehicles will come with a full tank of gas; however, you are responsible for refueling the vehicle during or after your ride.  91 Octane is required.  Gas can be purchased from us at any time.

Ocotillo Wells is open seven days a week, 24hrs a day, and does not charge a fee for camping or day use.  Open camping is permitted.
